I’m not really into the horror genre… I’ve grown indifferent to fear once I confronted the loan-monster living under my bed, but here’s a rap song narrating the impending zombie apocalypse, from Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods. I’m pretty certain even non hip-hop fans will enjoy this one. There’s a lot of murder and death going on in rap, but rappers strangely rarely broach the subject of the “undead.” Heavy Metal and Punk have been doing this for decades with vary degrees of success. I’m pretty most people agree with the thesis that Michael Jackson had the final word on subject with “Thriller”, or at least its a good thing Spike Lee hasn’t directed zombie flick yet.
Anyway, I’m particularly like this song because of this one lyric:
II thought I might…
Drown in sweat when I heard the sound effects
Of fingernails running down my fence
Was it rioters, rats or malcontents?
I pulled my blinds back a crack like Malcolm X
This last line is a reference to a famous photo of Malcolm X from Ebony Magazine

Anyway, I’m done. Carry on.
